Pinawa to Old Pinawa Kayak Tour
Join us for a guided all-day kayak adventure from Pinawa to Old Pinawa on the beautiful Pinawa Channel. Paddle past century old granite that was blasted to create the Pinawa Channel. Check out the suspension bridge as we pass underneath. Catch glimpses of painted turtles as they bask in the sun. Hear the sounds of the birds and ducks. Enjoy exciting paddling through a class 1 rapid and then relax as we paddle through wild rice. Enjoy lunch at Shorty's Dam rapid and then the tour will continue to Old Pinawa Dam. At the end of the paddle you will have time to relax and take a walk around the historic Pinawa Dam.
$60 per person
4 people maximum per tour
Cost includes guide, kayak and life jacket and return transportation back to Pinawa.
Tour length - 11 kms - Approximately 6 hrs
Please dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Sunscreen, bug spray and a hat are recommend. Please pack your own water, snack and lunch. All participants must be willing to sign a waiver form.
