The Dam Bike Tour
Join us on The Dam Bike Tour and experience two days of incredible biking on The Great Trail from Old Pinawa Dam to Seven Sister Dam.
On day one we will bike The Great Trail from Pinawa to Old Pinawa Dam. On this ride the trail follows the Pinawa Channel as it winds it way through the boreal forest and past a scenic rapid. We will break for a leisurely lunch at a beautiful granite outcrop and then finish the ride at Old Pinawa Dam. After the ride there will be time to explore the ruins of Old Pinawa before we return to Pinawa. Your accommodations for the night will be at the Pinawa Motel. After a restful night and relaxing morning we will depart for your second day of adventure.
On day two we will bike The Great Trail from Pinawa to Seven Sisters Dam. You will enjoy riding the single track trail that winds its way through the boreal forest and along the Winnipeg River. On the ride take in the colours of Mother Nature's canvas and look for pelicans, swans and loons as we pass Natalie Lake. Bike across a hydro power dam built in 1931 and hear the roar of the water coming through the spillway. After the ride we will enjoy a group dinner at a local eatery to celebrate your completion of "The Dam Bike Tour".
Itinerary
Day 1 - Bike Pinawa to Old Pinawa 13 kms
Depart Pinawa at 11:00 am - Return 5:00 pm
Day 2 - Bike Pinawa to Seven Sisters Dam - 13 kms
Depart Pinawa at 12:00 pm - Return 6:00 pm
Cost - $400 for 2 people. Includes double occupancy hotel room, lunch on day 1, bike, helmet, guides and all transportation. Does not include other meals.
18 years and older. Maximum 10 people per tour.
